													| Welcome to Peach Tennis League
Thank you for joining Peach Tennis League. We hope you have a lot of fun and a
wonderful experience. Currently, this league is designed for singles play and adults 18 and above.

 How the League works:
The League offers a flexible format to complete all your matches. You have a
week to complete your match against your scheduled opponent. Both players are equally responsible for contacting each other
to schedule the match. Please contact
your opponents and schedule your matches as early as possible. If for some
reason, you cannot complete your match against your scheduled opponent within
the given week, you have an extra week before which you should complete your
															match.

The point system is based on how close the match is.
If you win in 2 sets: 10 points
If you win in 3 sets: 8 points
If you lose in 2 sets: 1 point for every 2 games, up to a maximum of 5 points
If you lose in 3 sets: 6 points
																point system actually works.

At the end of the regular season if your total points is more than 90% of the maximum points available, then you will get moved automatically
to the next higher level. For example, a regular season typically consists of 7 weeks. So, if you score more than
63 points, you will get moved automatically to the next higher level.
Similarly, at the end of the regular season, if your total points is less than 40% of the maximum points available, then you will get moved automatically
to the next lower level. For example, a regular season typically consists of 7 weeks. So, if you score less than 28 points,
you will get moved automatically to the next lower level.
Also, the League marks certain players as bench mark players. Your performance against these bench mark players will also be
taken into account when determining your level for the next season.
All players should extend common courtesy and respect to each other off and on the court.

													| Self Rating for the Initial season
Players must rate themselves as accurately as possible
based on the ALTA and USTA rating scheme. Under rating (and over rating) your ability can hurt the league
and result in non-competitive matches. If you are not sure about your level, the League strongly recommends that you play a verification match.

																	| USTA 2.5: | ALTA: C9 - C7 (Beginner I); USTA: 2.5 |
																	| USTA 3.0-: | ALTA: C6 - C4 (Beginner II); USTA: 3.0- |
																	| USTA 3.0: | ALTA: C3 - C1 (Beginner III); USTA 3.0 |
																	| USTA 3.5 - | ALTA: B9 - B7 (Intermediate I); USTA 3.5- |
																	| USTA 3.5: | ALTA: B6 - B4 (Intermediate II); USTA 3.5 |
																	| USTA 4.0-: | ALTA: B3 - B1 (Intermediate III); USTA 4.0- |
																	| USTA 4.0 | ALTA: A9 - A7 (Advanced I); USTA 4.0 |
																	| USTA 4.5-: | ALTA: A6 - A4 (Advanced II); USTA 4.5- |
																	| USTA 4.5: | ALTA: A3 - A1 (Advanced III); USTA 4.5 |
																	| USTA 5.0+: | ALTA: AA (Open); USTA: 5.0 and above |
Please select the level which best represents you. Players with a point average of 95% or higher of the maximum available points may miss the playoffs or
may be placed in the playoff draw for the next higher level.

Self rating is not available from the next season. From the next season, the
League will automatically rate players based on the point average system. New
players for the next season would have to play a verification match to
															determine their rating.

													| Point System
The winner should report scores within the specified timeframe. If the winner is not in a position
to enter the scores, then the opponent should enter the scores. In case both players do not enter scores within the specified timeframe, then both the players will
receive 0 points. Make sure all
the scores are calculated correctly at the end of the season.

The point system is based on the following criteria:
If you win in 2 sets: 10 points
If you win in 3 sets: 8 points
If you lose in 2 sets: 1 point for every 2 games, up to a maximum of 5 points
If you lose in 3 sets: 6 points
If you take a default: 7 points
Note: The system will automatically calculate all the points. All you need to do is to enter the scores.

																	| Match Score | Your Points | Opponent Points |
																	| You win 6-2 6-3 | 10 | 3 |
																	| You win 6-2 5-7 6-3 | 8 | 6 |
																	| You lost 6-7 6-7 | 5 | 10 |
																	| You lost 6-7 7-5 6-7 | 6 | 8 |
																	| You took a default | 7 | 0 |
Note: You can take a default when your opponent is not available for
play in both the regular and extra week AND your opponent does not provide a
Sub for you. Your opponent will receive 0 points and you will receive 7
															points.
However, if you want to get the maximum points you should play with a Sub.
Click here to find out more about Subs and Defaults.

 |
													| Point Average
The point average at the end of the regular season determines which level you will be placed
for the next season. A point average of 90% or higher would place you in the next higher level for the next season.
A point average of 40% or lower would place you in the next lower level for the next season.

																		| Match Score | Your Points | Opponent Points |
													| You win 6-2 6-3 | 10 | 3 |
													| You win 6-2 5-7 6-3 | 8 | 6 |
													| You lost 6-7 7-5 6-7 | 6 | 8 |
													| You took a default | 7 | 0 |
													| You won 6-3 7-6 | 10 | 5 |
													| You lost 3-6 3-6 | 3 | 10 |
													| You won (Sub) 6-3 4-6 6-3 | 8 | 6 |
 Your point average at the end of 7 weeks is (10 + 8 + 6 + 10 + 3 + 8) * 10 / 6
= 75%Week 4 is not included in the calculation of point average.

Note: Point average is not calculated when you take a default. On
all other cases, the point average is calculated. Also, points are rounded off.
If you lose 6-3 6-2, you scored 3 points for the week.
In this instance, since your point average is 75%, you would remain in the same
level. Players with a point average of more than 90% will be moved to the next
higher level. Players with a point average of less than 40% will be moved to
											the next lower level.
Also, the League marks certain players as bench mark players. Your performance
against these bench mark players will also be taken into account when
determining your level for the next season.

									| Match Location
Players who have home court advantage are in charge of any fees associated with
the courts. Home court players also have to provide new can of tennis balls.
Playing closer to home is always desirable. To this extent, the league tries to schedule players
based on their skill level and geographic location within a 12 mile radius. However, there may be cases where certain players have longer
driving times than usual. As the number of players playing in the league increases, the driving times will decrease.

 |
									| Playoffs
Players can qualify for playoffs based on their performance during the regular
season. The top 30% - 40% of available players at each level, regardless of their division, qualify for the playoffs.
Standings are based on the following order.
 1. Points
 2. Point average
 3. Head-to-Head

A player with a higher seed would have the home court advantage. Playoff seeding is based on the points scored in the
															regular season.

												about playoff rules.

									| Report Scores
The winner should report scores within the specified timeframe. Make sure all
the scores are calculated correctly at the end of the season.
If the winner cannot report scores, then the opponent should enter the scores
for the week. If nobody enters the scores for the week within the specified timeframe, then both players
															will receive 0 points.

 |
									| Subs and Defaults
If you are unable to play your opponent on the scheduled week, you have an extra
week to make up the match. However, if you still cannot play your opponent
during the extra week, you should find a Sub from the sub list to play for
you. Failure to do so, will result in 0 points for you.
If your opponent is unable to play during the scheduled week and the extra
week, he should provide a Sub for you. If your opponent does not provide a Sub,
you can play a Sub chosen by you or you could take a default. If you take a
default, you would only receive 7 points.
In case you are unable to contact your opponent by Wednesday of the scheduled
week of play, then you could either play a Sub or you can take a default.
Make every attempt to contact your opponent. If you take a default, you would
															receive only 7 points.
